Historic Movie Theaters of Downtown Cleveland
The first movie theaters in Cleveland consisted of converted storefronts with sawed-off telephone poles substituting for chairs and bed sheets acting as screens. Alan Dutka’s latest book shares the remarkable history of Cleveland’s downtown movie theaters and their reemergence as community landmarks. A prolific writer, he has written many fascinating books about Cleveland.

One Tank Trips
Neil Zurcher logged more than a million miles on Ohio’s roads over 25 years as a TV travel reporter. He was the original host of the One Tank trips travel report which aired in Cleveland, and has since been emulated in other television markets throughout the United States. He has written five books about Ohio, including Ohio Oddities and Strange Tales from Ohio.
